After the Fair in the beginning of October, the nights get darker, primarily because the clocks have gone back and I’m once again back on GMT time.
Coupled with this comes the cold icy winds, the rain, and the generally lousy weather that just makes you want to get curled up under that nice warm thick quilt and hibernate until the Spring, with just a small wake up period around my birthday in February, of course! 
The way I figure it, tortoises have it easy. They get placed in a nice warm box, with plenty of stuffing and are just allowed to sleep thought the lousy winter months. Tis a simple way to live, and one I wouldn’t mind adopting.
Failing that or moving to somewhere tropical, with the golden virgin beaches, clear blue waters and nothing but nice warm temperatures.
I mean it’s 9 degrees C outside and brrr.. way too cold for me!
Maybe thermally heated underwear is the answer, powered by small batteries. It would be more environmentally friendly to use solar power, but now the days are shorter I don’t really see that much of the sun, which is a shame.
I’m sure deep down I’m a lizard. Need a constant heat source to keep me warm, but the great ball of flame that is the sun just doesn’t tend to agree it’s for my wellbeing to shine and warm me up. Someone certainly didn’t plan ahead when they were making the world, that’s for certain!!!
