Pierce Brosnan will not be staring in the next Bond movie #21.
The movie that has been stalled as producers try and find a director to helm the latest movie in the Bond franchise will not see the Irishman resume his role as the world famous spy James Bond 007 – as negotiations over his participation has ground to a halt. After Die another Day it had been suggested that Brosnan had been asked to do one more film, but apparantly the producers have now “changed their minds” on the matter.
Nor will Bond 21 be hitting the big screen in time for it’s originally planned release date in November 2005, instead it’s expected to be out in time for 2006, assuming they find someone else to fill the martini drinking tuxedo, and someone to direct the film!
This is sad news, I personally liked Brosnan who had made the role his own over the previous 4 movies. He is also one of my favourite Bond’s – up there with Sean Connery.
Wonder who they will get in now….
