A US woman has sold a 10-year-old sandwich – said to feature the face of the Virgin Mary – for £15,000.
Diana Duyser sold the sandwich on eBay to online casino GoldenPalace.com, reports the Boston Globe.
You think that is bad? It seems it’s sparked off a trend…
Scores of products, from Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese lunchboxes to T-shirts featuring President Bush with the sandwich, sprang up in its wake.
And just when you thought the world could get no crazier.. there’s this:
a Canadian is hoping to make money by auctioning off on eBay a fishfinger which he says looks like Jesus.
Fred Whan, 40, from Ontario, has kept the fishfinger since burning it a year ago and noticing it seemed to feature a man’s face.
First cheese sandwiches.. then fishfingers. What on earth is next? Maybe I should go and see what is lurking in the fridge that’s way past it’s sell by date, and see how much I can get on eBay. The world is MAD!!!!!!!!!
