Holidays for teddy bears are being offered by a German travel agent.

Christopher Boehm and Elke Verheugen promise “The holiday of a teddy’s lifetime with a host of activities to tempt teddy away from the loving arms of his owner for a week or two.”

As well as his own room in a luxury Munich flat teddy organiser Boehm said: “Often, bears or other stuffed toys have gone through a lot and a vacation is a great opportunity for the real man’s best friend to see something different for a change.”

The teddies spend an action packed week sightseeing, playing games and visiting a traditional teddy bears picnic, followed by a visit to a Munich beer house.

Teddy owners can also choose special activities to suit the nature of their faithful friend. Fishing, golfing, painting, and even bungee jumping and paragliding are offered, all with pictures teddy can take home to his loving owner.

Prices range from 68 pounds for locals to 100 pounds for international teddies.

Boehm says business is booming he said: “We host a tour group of up to a dozen teddies around every four weeks. The people love this idea.

Well I guess it gets the teddybear a vacation..

So.. uhm.. would you send your teddy bear on holiday!?! Or has the already mad world, gone even madder?!

Or am I the only sane person left Now there’s a terrifying though!

Astronomers announced Friday that they have discovered a new planet larger than Pluto in orbit around the sun. The finding will likely renew debate over what exactly is a planet and whether Pluto should keep its status.

The unnamed object – the farthest-known object in the solar system – is currently 9 billion miles away from the sun, or about three times Pluto’s current distance from the sun. Astronomers do not know its exact size, but its brightness shows that it is at least as large as Pluto and could be up to 1 1/2 times bigger.

A tourist whose car broke down feared for his life after another motorist offered him a tow but then pulled him down a motorway at 100mph.

The tourist, 36, from Poland said he was amazed at the friendliness of the German after a man pulled over to offer him help.

“He offered to tow me to the next service station which was just a few miles down the road, and got out a rope from the boot of his car,” the Polish man told police.

But just minutes after setting off, the German began to accelerate and dragged the hapless Pole down the busy A9 motorway in Thuringia, overtaking numerous cars and swapping lanes, at 100 mph.

He only stopped after crashing into a construction site that left both cars badly damaged.

A piece of Nutri-grain that looks like.. ET?!?!?!?!

And if that wasn’t bad enough, there’s also this..

Scientists in Brazil say they have uncovered a new species of dinosaur.

The dinosaur species that’s being called Unaysaurus tolentinoi in honour of the man who found it – Tolentino Marafiga – is apparantly one of the oldest dinosaurs ever discovered. It also shares similiarity to a few remains found in Europe, adding more fuel on the fire to say that the continents were all joined together in Earth’s great past as the continent dubbed as Pangea.

The newly discovered dinosaur is not large like many of it’s counterparts. Weighing in at around 70KG and standing just 80cm’s high, and having a length of just 2.5 meters, it’s certainly no T-Rex! It’s also believed to be a herbivore that lived during the Triassic period.

Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to travel back in time and actually see these creatures roaming around? No doubt a whole lot safer than creating your own dino like in Jurassic Park at least If and when we master time travel, count me in on a Dino safari!

Well no one has ever claimed that eBay was the safest place to shop in the world, but what about This…

A judge has warned internet shoppers to be wary after sentencing a woman who sold £3,000 of fake tickets on the popular auction site eBay.

Fake Glastonbury tickets? I’ve also seen scams on ebay where the ad makes you believe you’re buying a mobile phone, but usually hidden in the specifications is the small print that you’re only getting a picture. Then of course you need to be wary of the fake autographs and other highly sought after items.

To be fair to eBay, I haven’t had any problems. I’ve bought CD’s, clothing, hammocks and other things for my pet rat which I couldn’t necessarily get in the UK. And thus far – touch wood – had no complications, so it’s not all dodgy on there. You just need to make sure that you’re careful and check that feedback.
