Being of mixed heritage, Spock was often torn between two worlds, and this struggle would torment him for most of his life.

Spock found out he had an older half-brother, Sybok, who had rejected the Vulcan dogma of pure logic and went in search of Sha-Ka-Re

Spock was the first Vulcan to enlist in the Starfleet, and he distinguised himself as science officer aboard the original Enterprise.

He was killed in 2285, whilst he helped save the Enterprise from detonation when the Genesis Device was activated by Khan noonien Singh. His katra, or spirit, was placed in Dr. McCoy and was eventually returned to his rejuvenated body by an ancient Vulcan ritual.

In his later years, Spock's work became more diplomatic, rather than scientific. He helped to begin the peace initiative with the Klingons and Chancellor Gorkon, when Praxis was destroyed by over mining. In the 24th century, is work was centred around the reunification of his people with the Romulans.
